The more we scare the oil companies, the more the fuel price will go up, but if we keep it up long enough, they will be forced to bring the price down, no matter what.

Well, no one know that, and neither do the oil companies, but what many people are saying is that they are afraid. The oil companies are afraid that they will soon start losing money, so they are trying to make up a lot of money now, so that they have extra money to lose when that time comes. So drive slower, pull of slower, break slower, check your tire pressure and keep pressure on those oil companies and we will all see in a few months, maybe a year, we will all be jumping for joy, because the oils companies will have backed down.
